One thing that anyone that is considering having an above ground or built in swimming pool installed at their home should give some thought to is pool supplies. You can't get away from them, because at the very least, pool maintenance supplies are needed to keep the pool up.

One very important aspect to pool supplies is that they themselves have to be maintained and stored in a safe and secure environment. It is for this reason that for many people the pools pump and filter house or shed will also serve a double service as a pool supply storage house as well.

Because some of the chemicals that are used to maintain the purity of the pools water are dangerous if mishandled where ever they are stored should have a good solid lock on the door if children are in the house. Pool supplies such as a pool skimmer should be readily available, so finding a nice place where it can be tucked aside ready for use will do for that.

You will also want to have a ready supply of any filter replacements so changing them is easy and convenient. Of course, not as important but just as necessary are pool supplies such as floats and other water toys and games. What works great for storing these items is a piece of netting that can be hung on the side of a fence.

In this way they will kept dry and out of the sun and away from any dogs that love to chew on them because they are soft and rubbery. One other pool supply item that one might give consideration to is a gas or electric leaf blower. The reasoning behind this is the better you keep debris blown back away from the pool the less you will have to remove with the pool skimmer or clean from the filter system.
