People who want to succeed with a work from home business can make a huge step forward by using a coach and mentor.

It amazes me that people readily accept the fact that even the greatest champions had a coach as a part of the everyday activities; yet the normal Joe doesn't look to be coached when starting their own home based business.

Michael Jordan already knows how to play basketball – yet he was coached daily. So why do many would be home based business entrepreneurs think they are A-ok trying to figure it all out on their own? Are you?

That's like going into a strange forest at night with just a flashlight. Sure there is nothing stopping you but is there a smarter way?

If we took a minute to stop and consider the consequences of the most simple mistakes like heading in the wrong direction, or without being equipped for what lies ahead; your 'adventure' in the forest could easily take on a whole new meaning (scary at best, disastrous at the worst).

Would it make more sense to have a Guide who could advise you to the best possible paths, give you an overview of what to expect on your path and how to handle those situations? What about pointing you towards the correct tools and resources you'll need to get to your destination in one piece?

In terms of a work from home business adventure a coach and/or a Mentor can offer the advice that could easily save you significant amounts of time, money, and other resources to say nothing of grief.

So where would you find a coach or mentor? Good Question.

Have you ever experienced purchasing something like a particular car and then immediately noticing the identical car all over the place? The car manufacture did not all of a sudden sell tons more of that car. What happened was your awareness shifted to include that particular car and you simply noticed it far more often.

The same thing will happen if you shift your awareness towards looking for coaches and mentors. 'When the student is ready the teacher will appear".

The point is there are lots of coaches and mentors out there. Some will be good – some will not. Some will charge fees and some will not. This latter group is often people you admire and are coached by without the person even knowing you're learning from them – via books, videos, etc.

You can also simply ask someone you admire for their opinion on a topic and glean some great coaching from the one encounter.

The key elements are number one: Know that there is always a better way of doing something. This does not mean you hide in the library looking for the perfect solution before you take action. It means you keep your eyes & mind open to shifts in awareness that can provide quantum leaps forward in your work from home business.

Number two: Be open to constructive advice. Being open does not mean you accept everything you are told 'hook, line, and sinker'. It means you hear the advice and carefully consider whether it is something that your values agree with and that its something you could reasonability embody.
