There is no place in my home that I enjoy spending time like I enjoy spending time in my own kitchen.  I love cooking and I love entertaining my family and friends.One of the reasons I am so in love with my kitchen is that over the years I've made my kitchen my own.  I've got a great Tuscan kitchen theme going on.  I've added things like drawer pulls and faux painting, curtain treatments, pictures and pottery to give my kitchen a very Italian country feel. I have actually reinforced my Tuscan kitchen them with the use of stoneware dinnerware.  My set is Cucina Fresca by Vietri.  This dinnerware is a fabulous set that comes in three different colors.  I like the fact that I can mix and match the colors in the set so that my dining room table can have any look I want.I also use fine table linens when I entertain.  We always have a lovely table cloth on the table. There are two reasons, one is that I like the way it looks, two is that it helps protect our beautiful Cherry tabletop from scratches. I have been able to find great deals on table linens from makers like Yves Delorme and Sferra. I've also been able to make some great buys on discount kitchenware. I think that the right pots and pans can really make a difference when you're cooking.  I use my Le Creuset dutch oven almost all the time.  It's over twenty years old and has been a real workhorse in my kitchen.  I have also bought the best kitchen knives I could find.  I chose Global professional knives and I couldn't be happier. They stay sharp and feel great in my hands when I'm dicing and chopping. Not only is my kitchen a space that I love to cook and entertain in, it's a space where my friends and family enjoy hanging out.
