Whether you have lost a bit of weight or have stayed the same weight. It is coming up to that time of year again, when most of us are planning our holidays for the year. With that comes the thought of what will I look like round the beach or pool? For most of us this can be a frightening thought mainly because we are not sure which swimwear suites our body. So we buy the wrong one and end up not feeling good or looking the way we want to on our holiday.

To make life easier for us all here are a few pointers and tips to help you on your way to a successful look on your holiday.

The Long Body

To shorten a long body, pick swimwear with horizontal stripes. Buy something that is your size and not two sizes too big. Common sense will tell you that it won’t fit. A great choice for the long body is a sporty tankini. If you want a tanned stomach then just roll up the top.

A Large Bust

Especially for those with the larger bust, to get the right look wearing the correct bra size is extremely important, so is the case for swimwear. If you get a bikini top or costume where the cup is too small then you are likely to spill out and that is just not a good look. Go for something that supports you, fits you correctly, has full cups and wider straps. For the large bust a tankini rather than a bikini is a more flattering look, and the halter neck is always a good choice.

The Small Bust

It doesn’t take much to work out that to make your bust look bigger then padding is an obvious choice. There are other options such as ruffles and under wiring. Thin straps which are set further apart will give the effect of a bigger bust area. For the small bust a swimsuit cut straight across the top (bandeau style) emphasizes what is not there. Match that with tie leg bikinis and high cut bottoms transfer the focal point to your bum & legs.

Pear-Shaped

For those of us who are pear-shaped avoid the short style bikini bottom, if something is covering all of your bottom then it could mean a lot of fabric. Go for something high cut or oblique as this will suit your shape much better. Being a pear- shape will often mean you need different sizes so the mix and match top and bottoms are perfect. To draw attention upwards and away from your bottom half try picking something with an interesting neckline or a bold printed bikini top.

A Big Tummy

If you do have a big tummy then look, for swimwear with different colours and vertical panels down each side. This will give the illusion of a slimmer body and will also streamline your shape. Don’t let it all hang out in a bikini, it won’t make you feel good.

Hot Tips :

If you want a slimmer look go for darker colours

Don’t wear white unless you have a tan

Don’t buy cheap, get the best swimwear you can afford.

Buy as many as you can afford, gives you more options on holiday. Also you don’t just walk around in one bra do you?
