On the weekend, a friend and I went shopping at all of our favorite places, and after visiting all of those, we decided to check out some of the Dollar Stores that have appeared on the planet, in the last several years.

There are now several variations of these stores available with different names, however, they all have one thing in common. At the Dollar Stores, almost all of the items are priced at $1.00, or two or three items for only one dollar. As we walked around the store, I couldn’t help but notice how happy the customers looked, particularly three, sweet looking, elderly ladies, as they picked out what they exclaimed to be, enchanting items and funny little gifts. The room was full of smiling faces and giggles pervading an atmosphere of absolute Joy.

I purchased several beautiful shipping boxes, some festive bags, gift tags, ribbons and wrapping paper, a lovely set of Christmas stove top, plate covers, a Santa oven mitt, a dog and cat tooth brush for my brother, an Xmas CD, some tin canisters and portable scissors, some candles, two precious dog squeak and chew toys, gold jumbo paper clips, seasonal stickers, some personalized cards, and a turkey baking dish.

There was one item, however, that I just had to take home, strictly for its JOY value. It is a pen and holder, but not any ordinary pen and holder. It looks like a flamingo with big, white, round, bulging eyes and large, yellow beak, set into its fuzzy, emerald head. It’s bright green, fluffy feathers, flutter with the slightest movement in the room. The added bonus is that you can actually write with it. I placed it on my desk, next to my computer, and it always makes me smile when I look at it.

SILLY? Absolutely! But sometimes silly is just what we need.

Going to the Dollar Store is fun! It makes you feel RICH. My shopping cart was overflowing with stuff. I left with four bags full and the total bill was only $30.00. I felt pleased to have received a whole lot of value for my money.

So, this Christmas season, or any other time of the year for that matter, if you want to make your shopping experience less stressful and more light and playful, while increasing your vibration around abundance, I suggest you visit the Dollar Store nearest you.

Enjoy!
