Do you often feel tired and stressed because of work? Is there often little energy left by the time you get home? Do you often say ‘no’ to your kids whenever they greet your arrival and ask you to play with them? Oftentimes you may want to just fall in bed after a day’s work at the office. The next time you feel like it though, you may want to consider saying ‘yes’ to your kids in stead.

You may find it surprising to know that physical activity can do wonders for your tired bodies. As little as thirty minutes of physical activity can renew your energy levels and improve your physical health. With a half hour of exercise, you are able to sleep well during nights. Also, exercise helps you become mentally fit. With regular exercise you will feel sharp and able for decision making and problem solving.

There are numerous benefits to exercising regularly. It helps you achieve self discipline and enables you to live more positively. Exercise lifts your spirits and helps you avoid depression.

If it’s your first time to follow an exercise regimen, start the program slowly. Initial exercise periods can be as little as fifteen minutes for about two to three days in one week. Once your body gets the hang of it, you can increase duration and periods. Never force your body, never overdo any exercise. Once you feel an unusual kind of pain, stop exercising immediately. Rest your body for a few days. Resume only if your body is well enough to start exercising again.

There are many kinds of moderate exercises you can enjoy doing and executing. Walk. Walk as often as you can wherever you can. Walk your dog, walk with your friend, spouse, or child. Make walking a regular part of your family life. With walking you will be burning a lot of calories plus your body will get needed sunlight.

Do Yoga. It has been observed that Yoga is very effective in increasing energy levels in the body and in the soul. Initially, you may learn and execute basic Yoga techniques then work your way to the more advanced ones. Whether simple or complex, Yoga in any form is very effective. Executing the positions even for five minutes will do much in relaxing and recharging your body, mind, and soul. Revitalize your body at the end of the day with Yoga stretches.

Sports give the body good exercise. Sports are greatly recommended by doctors as effective means for achieving and maintaining body health and fitness. Sports can be done in moderation. People can choose how long they will be playing and what kind of sport they will be playing. Play football, tennis, baseball, or badminton. One can exercise simply by shooting hoops with friends.

Joining exercise programs are good ways to become fit. You may join sessions at work, at home, and within the community. Joining group exercises helps you burn lots of calories while forging friendships as well. If you can join a group exercise program, attend at least three times a week for best results.

Household chores help people get physically fit. Mowing lawns, gardening, upkeep of home surroundings, house cleaning, car washing, and others are effective ways of exercising your body moderately. When doing house chores, avoid using machines and other automated gadgets. If able, do most things manually or by hand.

Make exercise part of your daily life and you’ll see how fit and slim you can get. Moderate exercise done regularly will guarantee a calorie burn of at least 150 and 1,000 maximum.
