Some people wonder if Madison Square Garden chairman, James Dolan, made a mistake by extending his contract. His decision to extend Thomas' contract has been scrutinized throughout the NBA.

The Knicks' losing streak comes at a bad time now that Stephon Marbury has been in the controversial spotlight. Even though Thomas told the press that Marbury would be attending the game, he didn't. As usual, Thomas wouldn't talk about the situation and didn't answer questions as to whether or not Marbury would be fined for not appearing.
