Effective success factors begin with your ability to meet people.   It’s been proven that it takes people 3 seconds to form an impression about you and the first words out of your mouth is what is going to determine your success in life. All success in life is determined by this skill. 

As you sit and watch some people they are like magnets---they attract everybody! Why? Because they are warm, loving, and have an immense ability to love people, communicate effectively with them, and most of all—let the other person talk. We are all egocentric and we as humans all love to talk about ourselves. If you understand this psychological principle you will learn how to influence people and have an extraordinary ability to meet them.

For example you may be at a business or social function and end up with someone you’ve never met before. Some people get amazingly uncomfortable with this situation because they simply don't know how to start the conversation or to carry on a conversation. Yet, successful people are always going to find themselves in these kinds of situations because they are always stretching themselves. They are putting themselves into situations to help them communicate and get to know other people. They know that a success factor in owning a business is that in order to grow their business it means meeting new people.

Therefore, if you are going to create financial success, you must learn how to communicate effectively with anybody, anytime, anywhere. And, it is easier than you think. It just takes practice in the F O R M technique and truly being interested in other people.

When people ask you, "What do you do?" – How do you normally reply? Do you answer with the title of your job description? Such as, I'm a nurse, I'm an office administrator, I sell health products, I’m a success coach, I'm in the health and wellness industry, or whatever you do? When you answer someone with some sort of title it says very little about you and normally the other person doesn’t know what else to say.

So, I would like to share with you a powerful and very flexible communications tool that can be used in a variety of situations called the "personal introduction". This is a "success strategy" that can be used very effectively for ‘sales success" and as a success factor in your home-based business. One of the most magnetic ways I know of attracting people to you, is not to tell people "what"you do, but let them know "HOW" what you do"helps"other people. This is where the personal introduction can become your "elevator speech" As an example; here is how you can reply to the question "What do you do?"

"You know how people nowadays are finding it harder to get ahead, with corporate downsizing, the lack of job security, and the higher cost of living for people?" "Well, what I do is, help them set up their own business, so they can start taking care of themselves and their families and help them address these concerns they have about their life and to make more money."
