With online dating sites, you are literally surrounded by millions of other singles. What will make your profile, or page stand out?

First, use a very flattering picture. Females...? Make sure your makeup is flawless, but not slathered on like a clown! Practice and solicit opinions from "honest" friends and family members. Also, tone down the jewelry and cover up the cleavage. Trust me; you can be very sexy without being exposed. Guys...? If you have facial hair, take your time and make sure it is "manicured" correctly. Again, solicit the opinions of honest friends and family. To Everyone: No Sunglasses! You are hiding your most "intimate" visible asset.

If you want to display more casual photos, add them to the "photo album" section of your profile. To the best of my knowledge, 90% of all online dating sites allow you to do this during your free trial. This is where you want to post pictures of you and your pets, you and your friends, you at the bowling alley, etc. Do not post photos of you winning or losing a "wet t-shirt" contest. (If you do...you will regret it!)

Even the pics in the photo album should be flattering. Ladies, if the photos with your midriff showing aren’t attractive? Don’t post them. Guys, if you really don’t have an athletic build, please keep your shirt on.

Next, show a "hidden" part of you. No, I don’t mean the tattoos and piercings that aren’t visible when you’re dressed. I mean, if you love poetry, put a few "snippets" of your favorites. If you love to draw, upload one of your favorite sketches.
