The anointing ceremony in Christianity is never complete without the Holy Anointing Oil being applied on the forehead of the anointed person by the authorized individual. Oil is an indispensable item as far as anointing ceremony is concerned. And it’s not just any simple oil that’ll suffice. It is special Holy Anointing Oil made by the few gifted people who can decipher the names of ingredients contained in the lost codes. Moreover, some ingredients do not find mention in Bible at all. And if someone prepares an oil out of ignorance of the ingredients, that is impure and highly ineffective. That will not be the true genuine Holy Anointing Oil you are looking for.
The Bible is full of references to the oil that testifies of its significance as quintessential as far as anointing ceremony is concerned. Some of these references are –
Anointing the sick: Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. (James 5:14) Anointing of items: With it you shall anoint the tabernacle of meeting and the ark of the testimony; the table and all its utensils, the lamp stand and its utensils, and the alter of incense. (Exodus 30:26) Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. (1 Sam. 16:13)
Christians also dab anointing oil on the person they are praying for, to find spiritual renewal or salvation. Another popular mode of prayer is to dedicate the anointing into a cloth for the purpose of healing or deliverance of an individual. If the anointed cloth is placed under someone’s bed or in his or her car, it is believed that the cloth will keep working until what you have prayed over that cloth is accomplished.
These are just few Biblical references and beliefs pertaining to Holy Anointing Oil. These beliefs, however, materialize only if you use genuine Biblical oil for anointing purposes.
