When you start out in this profession, one of the commonest questions is, what products must I always carry in my bag?
To start out, you really don’t need to have so many products in so many colors. But there are a few things that are absolutely required.

• What’s required?

Skin preparation is critical as it is the guarantee of a perfect makeup finish and long-lasting results.

The best thing to do is to have specific products to clean every type of skin, but if that turns out to be difficult, we can use a generic product for all skin types. Even better if this product is for sensitive skin.

There are 3-in-1 products (for skin, eyes, and lips) which can save space and money.
Be sure to have an exfoliant mask for when you see it’s needed, which will guarantee you success.

With respect to moisturization, it is important to have a cream that’s appropriate for each skin type.

Revitalizing serum is important to give the face extra moisture and luminosity, and it also leaves the skin soft and velvety. This makes our makeup look better and last much longer.
Don’t forget the eyedrops, eyelash curler, tweezers, cotton pads, Q-tips, and cotton pads.

• Products for starting the makeup

  • Correctors in three tones will be sufficient. Buy those that also give luminosity.

  • Makeup foundation. Just as with the correctors, with 3 liquid foundations that cover well in three tones should be sufficient because you can mix them to get any tone you need. It’s also important that they be oil-free to avoid unwanted shine.

  • Required: powders, loose translucent transparent.

  • Shadows. You must have a matte ivory, white, black, and chocolate brown. As far as others, it depends on our own tastes, favorite textures, and preferred finishes.

  • Regarding eye pencils: it is sufficient to have a brown and a black. Just like with mascara, we recommend water-proof so that you don’t have to have so many different kinds.

  • We must not forget eyeliner.

  • Blushes: we suggest a pale rose and a melon, and of course whatever is in season and tanning powders. They can help us with dark corrections, too.

  • Las barras labiales, se llevan muchísimo los brillos, así que podéis transformar las mates en brillantes si les ponéis encima polvos irisados. También puedes perfilar el labio con un color marrón neutro y darles el color que quieras con gloss de diferentes colores.
