In online marketing, as well as off-line marketing, generating leads and building a list of customers is critical to your success. It’s a good idea to use a follow up email series with customers. Once a visitor to your website has opted in by giving you their name and email address, you have them on your list. Auto responders are a valuable tool in capturing leads Auto responders can be set up to send out a set of email series to your customers at various times. You can use these emails to pre-sell to your list as well as help you build a positive relationship with them.
These emails should be direct and to the point and you shouldn’t be sending them every day. People don’t like spam and if you’re sending out frequent emails filled with fluff and not containing helpful information for your list, then you run the risk of alienating the very people you’re trying to build a good relationship with.
Write a 20 email autoresponder series, and track the open rate of those emails over time. Send your subscribers quality content, and including pre sell messages. Separate your 20 emails into four campaigns. Each campaign based on different sub niche topics, and recommends one quality product for each sub niche. You should send out daily in the first week. Then take a break for three or four days, start sending your second email campaign, and so on.
If you’re not a competent writer, then it would be a good idea to outsource the writing of the email series for you. Customer’s respond to professionally written and tight copy by continuing to purchase from you; nothing will turn a customer off faster than poor grammar and misspelled words. Make your copy as exceptional as the product you’re promoting. Know your limitations and don’t try to do it all if you can’t.
It’s vital that you give your customers valuable content; never promote something you haven’t personally read and can stand behind. By doing this you can answer your customer’s questions about the product and/or service and they will begin to see you as someone that can solve their problems. This will generate repeat business form your customers as you brand yourself and not the merchants.
