Setting up your profile correctly will improve your online dating results drastically.
Starting with your photo. Make sure it is current, attractive, and of good quality. I have seen people actually use their driver’s license photo! What does that say...? "I’m not taking this online dating too serious. I really don’t want to be bothered with all of this profile stuff. I just want to cut to the chase and find somebody!" As you can tell, it is all about "them".
If they do not want to take the time to set up their profile, it is unlikely they will be willing to spend the take later on to work on the relationship.
If you do not have the time to include a photo on your profile page, then wait until you have the time. The lack of a quality photo says a lot about you...and it’s not all positive.
Next, spend time making your profile stand out from all of the rest. Answer the profile essay questions with a hint of humor, maybe even a touch of sarcasm. Be very careful with sarcasm...
Include something unusual about yourself. Whether it is a unique talent or ability. Please don’t include anything sexually oriented. You will not like the email responses you will receive.
Last, in your profiles photo album, include photos that say "You". This will give your potential new "friend" a peek into your offline life. If you are a teacher, post a photo of you and your class. If you belong to a bowling league...post photos from the last tournament.
I will admit the online dating scene can be a challenge. With the right tools you can conquer it. Get a head start with these three keys to setting up your profile. Stop wasting time and get started! Good luck...
