An animal care taker is such a special person to our life as well as to an animal’s life. He who care for animals, who live with animals and most importantly he love animals. No one can just be an animal caretaker without having love and affection for animals.

Today we have great demand of an animal caretaker as 80% of the families have a pet. No only limited to pets, we have numerous wildlife sanctuaries, biological parks, zoos, National Park etc. for animals. In order to maintain them we need a proper animal caretaker. As there are thousands of different animals, so as there need to be specialized caretaker for them. A dog care taker cannot deal with a tiger or a lion. This has lead to an increase in the demand of animal caretaker in recent years and is estimated to be more demanded in coming years.

An animal care taker can have his degree in petting, animal hospitality but that is just a limit to his career until and unless he has love for animals. And animal care taker can have a part time job as a weekly dog trainer or can be a monthly care taker of a zoo. He who wants his career to be as an animal caretaker can make his way to Africa’s deepest jungles to find rare wild species and give them a proper place to have their next generation.

And animal caretaker can open his own veterinary hospital. He can appoint some veterinary doctors and help them to look after them. In 2-3 years he can establish the largest Veterinary Hospital in the ton if he is hard working enough. An animal caretaker has no limit of his work and service. He can easily earn his livelihood by a part time job of animal caretaking. One can easily earn upto $8.39 per hour.

If one tries to be wealthy enough, then he must have to rule out his career by opening a large dispensary for animals or he can even open up his own private zoo. This can even make him earn around $10,000 per month. Who knows that the private zoo might turn into a wildlife sanctuary in 10-20 years?

Students should try to gather knowledge about the scope in career as an animal caretaker. Proper courses should be offered by universities and now most of the universities have even started offering short time certificate courses and diploma courses for animal caretaking.
