There are lots of things you can do to keep your Weimaraners attractive as well as healthy and happy. Nutritious diet, regular exercise, grooming and vaccines against various diseases are the most important things your Weimaraners need. Apart from that, you need some supplies to make life a little easy both for you and your dog. Wide selection of dog stuff is available in any pet and grocery stores. Some are really necessary while some are mere decoration or luxury. Below is the list of some of the important stuff your Weimaraners need.

Dog Bed The bed should be a place where your pet feels safe and comfortable, a place that your dog will love and he can call his own. It should be soft, durable, washable and large enough for him to curl up on. Decoration and style doesn't really matter when choosing the right bed for your dog. And remember, the bed should not be used as a punishment tool.

Food and Water Bowls Food and water bowls should always be included in the list of must-haves when it comes to dog supplies. Get one that is sturdy, unbreakable and has a steady base. Stainless steel and heavy bowls are recommended to prevent your Weimaraners from moving it around the house, saving yourself from looking for it during meal time.

Collar A collar could be made of nylon, metal, cotton or leather. It is placed around your dog's neck for control, identification, fashion or other purposes. The collar should not be too tight nor too loose either. A dog collar correctly fits if you could be able to place your two to four fingers between the dog's neck and his collar. Ask the vet, trainer or knowledgeable sales attendant for instructions as to the proper use of the chosen collar. Some collars can damage your dog's neck or trachea when misused.

Identification Tags It is important that your dog wears ID tags whenever outside. The tag should include information such as your dog's name, your name and contact number. You can also include your dog's medical condition if there is any.

Leash The leash need not be beautifully adorned but should be strong enough to withstand your dog pulling on it. Select the right leash for your dog depending on his size, personality and strength.

Crate A crate is an ideal place to confine your dog when you're not home or when you're traveling. It is usually made of metal, wire or plastic. It comes in variety of sizes, so choose one that is appropriate for your dog's size.
