These days, more and more 'ordinary' people are becoming interested in learning hypnosis. That's probably because hypnosis isn't just used in therapeutic purposes anymore. It's becoming more practical. People are using hypnosis (or at least claiming that they do) in virtually all human interactions. If you want to pick up a date, use hypnosis and no woman (or man) will be unable to resist you. If you want to sell a used car, hypnosis will help you convince the potential future owner that the car is worth much more than it actually is. You can even walk straight into your boss' office and ask him for a raise, using a hypnotic voice and correct 'word patterns' of course, and he will gladly double your salary.

These are just some of the outrageous claims that are circling the web right now. But one hypnosis course has gone even a step further. Let me introduce the Underground Hypnosis course by Taylor Starr. This hypnosis course really is unbelievable. And I'm not saying it's that good. It's not. But the claims on Taylor Starr's web page really are hard to believe. So here's the story.

Apparently there's an underground group of 'dark geniuses' who posses the most powerful secrets to hypnotizing that the world has ever seen (or haven't seen, as it's a secret, remember). These dark geniuses are capable of hypnotizing anyone, anytime. It will only take an instant for them to get you under their spell and once they have control over you, you will be unable to resist their suggestions (or should I say commands). And the best thing is, you won't even know you're being influenced - you will think that you are the one making all the decisions.

Taylor Starr claims that he's managed to somehow infiltrate this underground sect, called the Triad, and now he's prepared to share all their secrets with you (for a small fee, of course).

Now let's put all the mysticism and outrageous sales tactics behind and take a look at what you actually get if you decide to invest in the Underground Hypnosis course. The first thing that should be mentioned is that this is an e-course. So you download all the material to your computer. You get 7 audio tracks and about 25 books (or reports as they are not that long).

I was actually quite surprised by the contents of those, as I (to be honest) expected them to be a complete rubbish. But you actually get a pretty good course that will teach you some usefull hypnosis. It also mixes it up a bit, as it includes quite a lot of information on neuro-linguistic programming, theory of seduction and even some social engineering.

My conclusion: The Underground Hypnosis is a decent hypnosis course with a terrible sales tactic. If you can get over the mystical and the magical parts, you will learn some pretty useful influencing techniques. But be aware that at times the whole course and its presentation is just laughable. Recommended to people who are ready to believe virtually anything and to the ones, who are easily bored with conventional teaching methods and want to have a bit of fun while learning. Trust me, whatever this course may be, it is definitely not dull.

With a different sales pitch and a new name this would actually be one of better self-learning hypnosis tools available. But as it is, you just have to decide by yourself. If you don't mind a little (or let's be fair - a lot of) fantasy in your learning then this might be for you. Otherwise, you should probably look elsewhere.
