Herbal Remedies for Common Illness

In every paper, magazine, and even on television the benefits of some 'new' remedy is talked about as though it is some break through is medical research. These natural remedies are no new. These so called modern miracle remedies are really a step back in time. These have been healing people for thousands of years. An example is garlic, nature's gift, has been used medicinally for over 5,000 years. Gingseng, another relative new remedy, has been used for over 2,000 years when it brightened eyes and enlightened the mind.

There is a plethora of home remedies to choose from including herbal remedies to folk lore remedies. Here is a list of some of the less known herbs that can be used to treat some of the more common diseases and conditions.

IMMUNE SYSTEM/COLD

Astragalus has been used for more than 2,000 in TCM as an immune system booster. Every day one capsule will boost your immune system and fight off any of those spring time colds that linger on and on.

BLADDER INFECTIONS

Bearberry first used in Asia is nature's cure for bladder infections. This is definitely a capsule to have in the cabinet of every woman.

PMS

Chasteberry is the answer for PMS and even for irregularities. This herb influences the pituitary gland to secrete the hormone prolactin which allows for a more normal menstrual cycle.

ARTHRITIS / RHEUMATISM / FATIGUE / INSOMNIA / HEADACHE
