I know the though crosses your mind each winter, "Those poor unfortunate souls up north." It tends to happen when the news reports how everyone is stuck inside do to a blizzard while you’re wearing shorts and looking forward to going to the beach. Yes, if your business is in Florida, it may seem sometimes that you work in paradise.

Of course, you’ve also probably realized that those poor unfortunate souls could probably use your products or services. Even if you don’t own a business now, you probably have an idea that would be great all over the world, if only the world was in your backyard. Funny thing is, it is.

The internet is everywhere…all over the world. For the first time in history, you can literally reach the world instantly, from your home, for FREE. Learn to take advantage of that, and you will make more money than you can possible dream of.

So, how do you take advantage of the internet? How do you market all over the world for FREE? Of course, I can’t teach you everything in this short article. However, I will try to highlight some things you might not have heard of before.

First and foremost, you need a domain name. If you have not registered one, do so ASAP. The name should be a ".com," as short possible, easy to spell, and memorable. Whenever possible, make sure your domain name has your keywords in it. Also, register the domain for at least 3 years, but 5 is better. Google will give your site more credit if it is registered for multiple years.

The next thing you need is an actual website. You may be surprised, but you do NOT want to give all the details of your product or service. Instead, you want to develop a "squeeze page" and ask for a name and email to get the rest of the information. This process allows you to communicate with them over a period of time until they are ready to buy.

And that takes us to your emails. Get an autorespoder that will send emails automatically. You should use plain text, audio, and video. These systems will work for you as your online sales persons. Without this critical step, people will disappear from your site, never to return unless you are lucky enough for them to think of you.

Once you have those systems in place, you need to drive traffic to your website. I personally have taken a brand new website to #1 in Google in 1 month using these methods. Oh, I also did this while spending NOTHING on advertising.

You need to write press releases and articles. Don’t spend any money, there are plenty of free locations to submit your material (you’re reading one now). Whatever you write, WILL be read and Google will index the material AND your website. Those who like what you have to say can click on your link and visit your website. Also, once your write it, the article or press release keeps working for you month after month, year after year.

You will also want to write a blog. Again, this is free and Google will index it. Go to wordpress.com and you can be blogging in a matter of a few minutes.
