Network Marketing Works Well in a Recession

Considering a home based business or joining a Network Marketing company? First the bad news. With the US dollar at an all time low, gold at over $1000 an ounce, high foreclosures and even some major banks losing money, we can agree our economy is in bad shape. Many financial experts agree that the United States is in a recession. That is the bad news.

Now for the good news. General economic theory holds that there tends to be a re session ever eight years. The entire history of the modern Unite States reflects this boom and bust cycle. Consistent, network marketing has grown during the down turns.

The oldest network marketing company on record is marine-vegetable supplement company Wachter's, which started in 1937 in the great depression. Nutralite took of in1945 during the economic decline immediately following World War 2. Shaklee and Neolife fared well in the post Korean War slump. Amway got a good start with the slump in 1958. Mary Kay started with the downturn in the 1960s. This theory held true when Alliance,Kaire,Life Plus and a number of other companies started up and entered their own boom period.

When recession hits, many people are going to search to find other sources of income. In their frantic searches they are going to find the best alternative is network marketing. Another factor that will fuel the growth in network marketing is that many baby boomers have put their life savings into the stock market. With the stock market falls they will see their retirement plan funds lose 25 to 50 percent in value. Panic will follow and baby boomers will look for secondary ways to build a residual retirement income.

Recession. For some the word strikes fear, but for others the word means opportunity. An opportunity to prosper during what most see as disaster. An opportunity to help others earn an second income stream that can range from a few hundred a month to thousands weekly. A way to change people's lives in ways they never thought possible. A way to make dreams come true.

A friend of mine in Montréal, Canada is losing his job in manufacturing , after 32 years in a fortune 500 company. This is happening everyday in North America. How about the real estate market. Anyone associated with these markets will be searching for ways to make money. What other areas can you think of that will be affected by a recession?

Overall, it seems that in bad times, real or perceived, people are a lot more open to look into a home based business. And by far most people, Network Marketing provides a sure-fire way to earn extra income from home.

Network Marketing: The biggest mistake people make is in the thinking that Network Marketing is about selling. It's not. In Network Marketing, distributors are also customers. So let's say that a company has 100,000 active distributors. Each one is consuming a small amount of product and when you multiply that by 100,000 people, a lot of product is moving. As long as you work with a company that is distributing something you want for yourself (like high-quality dietary supplements) and is in a market that is in high demand, you won't end up with a garage full on inventory. In fact, if you work with a modern Network Marketing company, you should have no more product on hand than what you're using and you should never be delivering a single product to another person.
