Many people go without the annual vacation on account of high travel and accommodation costs and the need to deal with more pressing financial commitments at home. This is a commonly held misconception as there are ways to get around the money matters. Certainly you need some money - you won’t go far without it, but you can travel ‘light’ with limited funds and, if you are prepared to be resourceful, adopt a positive attitude and do some things a little differently you will have a wonderful holiday and have money left over.
Adapting the holiday finance plan to make it all fit together neatly takes time and a little effort but the result is well worth it. From a very modest low-budget weekend to the most expensive international holiday, the choices available are endless. The colorful travel brochures though have a tendency to get the imagination going and if finance is an issue the whole idea can become an exercise in total frustration. But we can't beat ourselves up for imagining how wonderful it would be to go on that Mediterranean cruise or take a family vacation in Switzerland in the summer, while at the same time knowing that the money simply isn't available to take that kind of holiday. But wait! Because the money is not available does that mean that those dreams will never be realized? The simple answer is - no. You will need to do a little research, and it would be irresponsible not to say a little money, but nowhere near as much as you may at first think. But, you are going to need a firm commitment to follow new ways to see it through or put another way, the ability to think outside the square.
The difference between a low cost weekend at a location a couple of hundred miles from your front door and an extended international vacation on the opposite side of the world is largely a matter of being ready and willing to look at some innovative ways that will create your dream vacation.
Now, this is where it starts getting interesting because there are alternatives to settling for the less attractive holiday option and I'm going to share a couple of those ideas with you.
Here's the first one. One of the major vacation costs is accommodation. Deciding on accommodation is the most important decision you are going to make and I've just mentioned Switzerland as an example, but it could be anywhere, Australia, Tahiti, Italy or any other place around the world to enjoy a really spectacular family holiday (and I'm not talking about time-share). When you go to the website and download the free report on how to 'Say Goodbye to Vacation Accommodation Costs Forever' we're not kidding and you will never go back to the old way of arranging holiday accommodation again!
The second strategy is so completely different that you're forgiven already if you say 'impossible'. Thousands of travelers now are attracted to cruising and the numbers are increasing every year. Of all possible alternatives out there, cruising would have to be the tidiest. Certainly less stressful than air travel with connections, check-ins, check-outs, transfers, luggage handling, jet lag, delays and on it goes. So if time is not an issue, and it shouldn't be on a vacation, cruising offers great value for what it delivers. So how do cruising costs stack up against a shore based vacation in a five star hotel? That's a difficult question because of the complexity of the variables involved. It's clear though that both would be substantial and even comparable on a daily basis. But I'm trying to save you money here and again you will get all the clues on the website about how you can cruise free - and yes, I did say free! I almost forgot, this is a wonderful opportunity to take along a spouse, partner or a friend also and the really good news about that is they will cruise free as well - can you believe that?
