Want to make a statement? Well, let's take a look at the Spring clothes for 2008 and see if we can spot something that intrigues our spirit of adventure!  I know you.  Once I get you wound up there's no stopping you, so let's get started! What category shall we look at first? How about party dresses?  What are we talking about here? Big formal do or informal get together with close friends? Lets start with the ones where we can let down our hair a little, OK?Some of the newer kids on the block are showing their wares and I like what I see for the most part. For instance Jenni Kayne has this raglan mini dress in silk georgette. Its in a magenta. Find it at ShopBop for $795.Then this is sharp from Sari Gueron.   Black velvet polka-dot tunic in silk chiffon. Mesh and feather rosette at collar. Split V neck. Peek-a-boo hem. 30" long. Cute as all get out and yours also at ShopBop for $1,275.What about that high level graduation for your nephew? Annapolis, is it?  How about this elegant sheath from Milly?  'Honeycomb', open back, tonal texture adds subtle detail to a fitted sheath dress with a button-detailed inset waist. Demure bateau-neck style features a horseshoe-shaped cutout in back. At Nordstrom's $340. This really makes a statement!
Something for a patio party.  This one will suit you down to the ground!  By 3.1 Phillip Lim, a Cotton Cabana Dress with Tie.  Very perky in a mustard toned floral print slowly fading as it travels from a raised back yoke down the front of a whisper-light cotton dress. Straight-cut silhouette is pulled in at the waist by a thin, triple-wrapped tie.  Nordstrom has it as a pre-summer order for $350.  I love this one! OK now some fresh jeans.  Let's get white denim.  It's in this year. Seven For All Mankind (my very favorite brand). Their best-selling boot-cut silhouette in white stretch denim features a white patch with silver lettering at the back waist and signature back pocket embroidery, also in white.  At Nordstrom's for $169. Shorts now?  OK what do you think?  Let's stick with the white denim.  And these are True Religion's 'Bobby" Cutoff Rigid Denim Shorts.  White denim cutoffs are faded and distressed, giving them a worn, vintaged look. Back pockets with an updated version of the signature horseshoe-shaped, contrast-stitched design. Nordstrom for $172. Very cute for the right rear end!
