Think for a moment about exotic cars. What comes to your mind when you think of these wonderful works of engineering? Is it the looks and wow factor? Maybe it's the speed? No matter what you think of, how expensive the car is has probably caught your attention once in your lifetime. These cars are made to be expensive. The more expensive they are, the more exclusive they are. It almost seems like manufacturers are competing to raise the price to see who can get away with the most expensive car.

Let's take a look at the most expensive cars being sold on the market today.

1. Ferrari Enzo

Don't you just about expect a Ferrari on a list of the most expensive cars? The Enzo came out in 2003. It was the most expensive Ferrari at the time with an MSRP of $600,000. Here's the catch though: you had to own an F40 and F50 before you could buy one. The F40 and F50 were also the most expensive and exclusive Ferraris at the time of their release as well. The Enzo is even more expensive today! Expect a price range of about $1-2 million.

2. Bugatti Veyron

The Veyron is the fastest car right now. It boasts a 1001 hp V12 engine. The top speed clocks over 250+ mph. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in an astounding 2.5 seconds! Do you think you're able to manage this sort of speed? It's also one of the most expensive cars right now. Expect a price tag of around $1-1.5 million.

3. Lamborghini Reventon

The Reventon is probably the most overpriced and worst car out of the bunch. It's just a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 with a different hood. You read that right. That's it! A different hood! The engine's not better, nothing! It goes the same speed as the standard Murcielago LP640. It was just redesigned. The new design is based on the F-22 Raptor fighter jet. The price tag is way more expensive than a Murcielago: $1.3 million. That's $1 million more than the Murcielago - all for changing the hood! If you really think a different hood is worth it, go ahead and buy it.
