It's easy to forget, in our modern world, that we are part and parcel of an evolving creation. We are quite disconnected from nature, from the natural cycles of the moon and the planets and even the seasons, with our sophisticated houses, work places and cars. But we know from history that the world is constantly changing, as are we. Our evolution, so far, has brought us to our present state of human being from amoeba over billions of years.
We are led to believe that we are at such a high point of evolution, a civilized, modern people, but are we really? In most developed countries crime is a thriving business, there are wars going on all over the place, people are starving in some places and dying of obesity in others, we live in fear of other nations attacking us, many politicians are corruptible and dishonest or at best have little sense of true morality. Do we really accept that this state of existence is the highest state the human race can achieve?
Perhaps instead we could consider that we are still on our evolutionary journey, that we haven't yet reached the best we can be? If so, what could the next step in our evolution be? What has to happen to us to bring us to that higher state of awareness?
Every step of our evolution has happened spontaneously, by the course of nature. We didn't have to do anything - the apes, over time evolved into humans, effortlessly, and gently. The same way we grow from being a baby to being an adult, day-by-day it just happens to us without even noticing. It's all built in within us, nature takes care of it. But you have to see that at every step there is a real change - it's not artificial at all. It's not a theory. There's a real happening, a real, but effortless transformation that takes place!
So we can conclude from that, that our next step in evolution will also be effortless and spontaneous and gentle - but it will be real! The only difference just now is that because as human beings we were given freedom (the story of Adam & Eve has been misunderstood and re-told as the story of committing the original sin, but actually it was the story of how God gave human beings their freedom, made them different from the animals, so that they would be able to have the knowledge and achieve their ultimate freedom). Because we have been granted freedom, we now have to choose, in our own freedom to take our self-realisation, which is a 'real' happening whereby a Divine Motherly Energy which resides in a dormant state in our sacrum bone is spontaneously awakened and rising gently through our subtle nervous system, pierces the fontanel bone area and connects us to the all-pervading power of Divine Love, the power that created us. Through our self-realisation we are then able to evolve to a higher state of awareness, our spiritual awareness in the realm of the absolute truth.
We are living at a very special time in human evolution, in that we are at a time of transition from human awareness to spiritual awareness, and it's amazingly easy to achieve this higher state, but we do have to seek it out and ask for it, because we are all free people.
