Florida is a U.S. state. The large part of it is sandwiched by the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and the Strait of Florida. It's also made up of several springs, sinkholes, underwater caves, and rivers. The capital offers a lot of public and private airports, heliports, and airstrips. The coastline, meanwhile, was a training area during World War II. In the recent years, though, it has become a prime spot for those who like to to go sailing in Florida.

A popular destination for those who are in holiday vacation is the Florida Keys. Situated near the Miami Beach, Florida Keys is composed of several islands. One of them is Key Largo. Several people would love to dock their boats in their beaches so they could dive or snorkel. They can also explore the sunken shipwrecks. You can visit Marathon Key in your yacht charter. It's also made up of several other keys, but the most popular is the Long Key. It holds a beautiful park and beaches, where you can kayak, cruise, or camp. Southwest Florida is also a very nice. You can go to Fort Myers, which runs along the banks of Calusa River, or Calossahatchee. The charm of the place comes from the marinas, such as City Yacht Basin, and the stately homes situated in the riverfront. Fort Myers is also a good start-off points towards several barrier islands, including Gasparilla, Cayo Costa, Sanbel, and Captiva. Don't forget to cruise through the Pine Island Sound. You wouldn't have any problem docking your yacht as there are a variety of anchorages that surround the area. If you like to marine life, you will surely enjoy at least dropping by a number of marine facilities. Surprisingly, there are fine-dining restaurants in Fort Myers. The South Seas Plantation and 'Tween Waters are just two of them.

With so many things you can accomplish in this small state, sailing in Florida will never be enough. So better ready yourself for a weekend or days of great fun and warm sunshine. Otherwise, you will be missing out what could be a chance of a lifetime.
