F YOU HAVE DOUBTS ABOUT PRAYER, READ THIS......
A life that is built on prayer cannot be shaken. If for any reason, you feel that your solid prayer rocking life has been shaken, straighten up and do not expect that shaking to last for too long. If you have doubts about prayer, it is not to late to explore this option to living a more fulfilled life. When prayer is applied daily you are strengthened, physically, emotionally, financially and otherwise.
Many people are petrified about praying, especially publicly. I get asked quite often how I pray the way I do. I tell people that it is through the grace of God, that I pray quite often and that it is a gift from God; just as any other gift. When I pray I feel closer to my Creator. I encourage people to pray often, silently; if that is more comfortable for them or out loud, whichever way, wherever you are, just pray.
One way to get more comfortable about praying is to listen to the prayers of people who pray all the time. You may also practice praying at home and you will soon find that praying is not bad, after all. Jack Hayford said it best: "Prayer is not the mystical experience of a few special people, but an aggressive act: an act that may be performed by anyone who will accept the challenge to learn to pray."
Do not give on praying. God may put a desire in your heart and you may pray for that thing. If you do not get the answer at the time when you are expecting it, just be patient. Delay does not mean that He has not heard or he has denied your prayer. Jesus answers Prayers in different ways and at the right time.
Be alert and watchful and then you will observe how your prayers are being answered, sometimes in subtle ways, not necessarily the way you are anticipating. God has an appointed time for everything: "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven." (Ecclesiates 3:1). Whatever you do, do not waver or doubt when you pray.
If He tells you something it will come to pass even when we get discouraged and tired of waiting, he comes through for us like he came through for Peter, just at the point when Peter was ready to give up on fishing and for Elijah when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall and none fell for three and a half years and when he prayed for rain to fall, showers poured down and the plants turned green again. There is hope in every dead situation!
Jesus knows exactly which prayers to answer and when to answer them. He is just like His father. God did not answer Jesus when Jesus prayed and asked God to remove the cup (to spare His life from death on the cross). What would have happened if God had answered that Prayer? We would be doomed forever to sin and death. All the nations of the earth would be lost. There would be no remission of sin or salvation.
Prayer keeps us divinely united with God and many verses in the Bible tell us how to do this. The key to prayer is praying in the spirit and doing it God’s way. Prayer is one of the open doors for the believer to meet with Jesus and allow Him to work on our behalf. Every believer has the authority to go to God directly for himself in prayer. This is so because the moment that a person believes in God, confesses his or her sin and accepts Jesus, He declares that:
