The Chevrolet Malibu is a mid size car produced in the United States by General Motors. It first debuted in 1964 as a powerfully stylish 2 door sedan and later on was revived in 1997 as a front wheel drive mid sized family sedan.

The Malibu is redesigned for the 2008 model year. The 2008 Malibu is a 4 door, 5 passenger family sedans, available in 4 trims, ranging from the LS to the LTZ. It emphasizes decent road manners, quality construction and practicality.

"The LS is equipped with a standard 2.4 liter, I4, 169 horsepower engine that achieves 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. A 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The LTZ is equipped with a standard 3.6 liter, V6, 252 horsepower engine that achieves 17 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. A 6 speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard." With these performance features, reviews generally find the 2008 Malibu as a pleasant-driving family sedan. The best highlight in the performance tech was the six-speed automatic transmission.

The best surprise with the Malibu is the car's striking style. It may be the best looking of the current midsize sedans, even more distinctive and better looking than the previous Malibu. The new dual-port grille in front, over-sized headlights, swept-back screen, and the high-waist, low roof, wheels-out-to-the-corners stance adds to having a bolder new face for Chevy.

Inside, the new Chevy takes a big step up in both design and use of premium materials. They totally deserve praise from reviewers for their improved fit and finish.

The new dual-pod dash is an attractive, original, design. The new two-tone color combinations provide a little relief because it’s more soothing to the eye than the ordinary gray. It also has high-quality materials inside, including a cast-skin material to cover the instrument panel. The cargo space is bigger than both the Accord's and Camry's trunks, which come in at 14.0 and 14.5 cubic feet, respectively

The 2008 Malibu is well equipped for safety. It comes with standard safety features such as seat-mounted thorax airbags, side-curtain airbags, traction control, and anti-lock brakes. According to usnews.rankingsandreviews.com, Malibu earned earns five out of five stars for both frontal offset and side impact tests, and receives a four-star rollover rating.

Overall, reviewers are pleased with the all-new 2008 Chevrolet Malibu's driving dynamics, auto body parts, good looks and comfortable ride.
