Bougainvillea is a noticeably attractive plant seen in great quantity in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The name has been derived from Louis Antoine de Bougainvillea, who came across these plants in Brazil in 1768 and explained their exquisiteness to his fellow Europeans as soon as he came back home.

They produce white flowers and are considered quickly raising plants about in warm temperatures and Vallarta completely meets up their necessities by providing around three hundred and twenty sunny days every year with an average yearly temperature of 78°F. They keep fine without a great deal of watering throughout the seven month dried up period in Vallarta from November to May, at the time when there is almost no downpour.

It is absolutely unfeasible to go anywhere in Vallarta without seeing these flower that grow abundantly. They are all over the place all along the roadside. They act as preserved plants or provide as decorative shrubs more or less almost every villa or casita and are available near the golf courses as well in the public areas. These flowers can be seen hanging above the ramparts, from terrace, and from ledges in all Vallarta neighborhoods. As these are thick with prickly thorns and foliage, they are perfect for and regularly used as bright hedges along the path and among lots.

In Vallarta there are a lot of trips in which the passengers are taken on an every day basis and other visitors. They include Canopy tours, Safari tours, City tours, Jungle tours, etc.; all of these include several beautiful places of interest. One common thing that can be observed on all these trips is the dramatic view of Bougainvilleas close to every place of interest.

One more sightsee where Bougainvilleas can be noticed at each turn in the road is the Home tour, where travelers are accompanied all the way through chosen homes in Vallarta's best areas. The white and pastel colored villas with their red tile roofs, cobblestone roads, Banderas Bay and the unbelievable hillside sights of the city and of course the superb tropical plants with Bougainvilleas all around approximately every home, give these travelers with a day completely of memorable sights.

Normally, when tourists engage in recreation like playing the golf courses in the region of Vallarta, they do catch a lot of snaps of the landscape and it will invariably consist of Bougainvilleas. The typical remark is that it is precisely what one would love to find in heaven!

Bougainvillea Growers International (BGI) is the Nation's largest bougainvillea grower offering bougainvillea plant care, trellis, trees, hanging baskets.
