Lose 10 pounds in 2 days, Eat Less and Lose Weight, Be Bikini ready in a week, they all sound like diet advertisements don't they? The headlines sound good and give readers false hope that they can just simply "starve" themselves and look like the models we see on TV. WRONG! It is a little known yet proven fact that these diets don't work. We all know the ones I am talking about to, the diets that want you to cut calories to 500 per day or cut out all carbohydrates. And we have all heard that these diets don't work but has anyone ever told you why? If no, then today is the day.

First we will tackle the "low calorie" diets. What most people don't understand when beginning these diets is that our bodies metabolism adapts to what and when we eat. When we consume less than 1200 calories per day, also known as "starvation dieting", our metabolism starts to slow down drastically and our body enters starvation mode conserving all the energy it can as if we will never eat again. With a low calorie diet it is close to impossible to get the nutrients our bodies need. Leaving us feeling run down, tired, moody, and irritable, not to mention the headaches and drowsiness.

Now on to the no carbohydrate diets. Carbohydrates are what gives us energy, helps our organs to work properly, and also fuels our brain. Our brains can only use glucose (carbs) for energy, if you cut out the carbs then our brains are now competing with our bodies for the small amount of energy left. Besides when enduring a "no carb diet" even if you do manage to lose a miniscule amount of weight, (which is probably really from less sodium intake to begin with) once the diet is stopped you gain all of the weight back if not more than when you started.

So, I am sure you are now pondering if anything will work in assisting you to lose weight. The answer: Yes, Rotating your Carbs. With this process eating the correct nutrients at the proper times creates a "thermic" fat burning effect allowing you to shed pounds without starvation and cutting out carbs completely.

Hey I'm Amanda. Let me just say that I am not a writer in skill and I cannot say that it is a hobby, however I found a life changing product and felt I could not keep it to myself. www.therotatingcarbsdiet.com
