In the business of network marketing, we cannot do anything alone. We have to have a support team. This support team can be made up of several different people, our co-workers, our spouse, our family and even our children.

When we are first getting started we need the support of the co-workers to help us when talking to potential customers. They know the products and the company better than we do. We will need them to help until we feel comfortable enough talking about the products and company on our own. This is part of our personal development at a new company.

Our parents can help, as well as other family members. You may not realize this but the more support you have the more that you will want to make your business a success. Just by having someone say, "how is that business of yours coming?" is a great motivator, because you certainly don’t want to have to say, "well I failed."

A spouse can help tremendously. Not only are they supposed to support us in everything we do, they can help talk to people and tell them about what we are doing. They can hand out flyers or catalogs to potential customers. They can even watch the children for us if we have to make calls in the evening.

We took a job where we could spend more time with our children. Let them help. There are several ways even small children can help us. If you hand out flyers or other advertising items, let them join you and help in the work. There are a host of other ways children can help, no matter what age they are. If you are planning to host an in-home, as some network marketers, do allow the children to help you set up, and serve refreshments because you will be busy filling out paperwork.

No matter what we do we can’t do it without a great support team. I have always heard that two heads are better than one when it comes to business. Your support team may be able to come up with an idea that you had not thought of before. They are all part of your path to self-improvement, and often are also can help you see self-esteem improvement as you become more confident in your work.

Sometimes we don’t ask for help from our family because we are afraid they will criticize what we are trying to do, and this will create a wedge between our family members. We may not want to ask for help from our co-workers because we are proud. If we don’t ask for help, and are successful, then we can say we did it ourselves.

The truth is it is time to check your ego and be willing to ask for help to make it. If you aren't willing to admit you need a little help sometimes, you are more likely to fail.
