If you buy airline tickets several times a year, you should reap the benefits of frequent flight travel. Every airline offers a frequent flier program and the members receive a number of offers and opportunities that "regular" fliers do not even get a chance to receive. As you travel, you will accrue "miles". These "miles" are, at the minimum, the number of miles that you have traveled in a plane with that airline. A lot of offers for members are tickets that provide a set number of bonus miles or double the miles earned on that flight.

Another way to rack up the miles and enjoy flight travel in style is to take advantage of free and cheap first class upgrades. Frequent flier club members will usually be given an opportunity to upgrade from coach to an open first class seat. The day before a flight can be a good time for a member to call. Many airlines offer these upgrades to their frequent fliers for as little as fifty dollars. A regular customer can also possibly get a very cheap, or even free, flight upgrade at the ticket desk or boarding gate. The best part about these deals is that flying first class almost always provides additional bonus miles!

Earned miles can be used to purchase and upgrade tickets with minimal fees charged to the member. Also, the higher your total gained miles, the better and more frequent the specials that the airline will offer. With enough miles, you will be considered an "elite" customer; offered the best deals and treated with preference like a VIP. Bonus mile offers and upgrading to first class as often as possible are the best way to reach this coveted status with the fewest possible flights. If you are really determined to fly business class and make the most miles possible, when requesting the upgrade be sure to mention that you do not mind if you do not receive a meal during the flight travel. Airlines do not stock too many extra meals compared to their first class reservations, to help save costs. Indicating you understand the situation can help net that high class seat, with its comfort, service and bonus miles.

Wouldn't you like to fly first class for the cost of coach? Wouldn't you like to be treated like a VIP? Sign up for your frequent flier membership with your preferred airline now and start reaping the benefits of frequent flight travel today!
