Why buy a rolex watch? Well if you have the money, the true question is why not. Rolex has long been the standard bearer when it comes to quality high end watches. That crown on the face of that watch, and that swooping smooth second hand long one of the trademarks of the genuine article. These watches are considered by many as the best brand when it comes to the watches. Some people buy these as investments. One of the few items that you can buy that will increase in value over time.
I know some will have the temptation to get a knockoff, or a replica. I can't say that I blame you. What I don't understand is how a rolex replica costs upwards in the three digits. I have seen a few good fakes, and some horrible fakes. But I am one of those people who eventually realized that you get what you pay for. The people at Rolex put a lot of time, effort, research, and quality into each and every watch. You buy a rolex watch and you will have a watch for life.
The rolex brand is probably the most replicated brand when it comes to watches. I guess it is equal to Louis Vitton and their trademark purses. These two brands have become status symbols for people. I am not into status symbols myself, I am into quality. That is one of the reasons why I love my Chevy Tahoe, but that is another article.
It boils down to this. If you have an opportunity to buy something that potentially you will only have to pay for once, will increase in value, looks awesome, will attract attention (if you're into that), can be an instant heirloom, how can you go wrong?
Do cheat yourself folks. If you want a rolex watch, get the real thing. You will not regret it. These watches are great, come in a variety of styles and colors, and bezels. Don't cheat yourself, treat yourself.
Now for those who are going to buy a fake rolex no matter what I say, then please at the absolute very least get a swiss fake. If you find a chinese or some other knock of Rolex then just give it back to the person who gave it to you. I can't believe I'm giving tips on how to buy replica watches, but I am a big fan of quality and I have seen some pretty quality swiss rolex fakes.
I have also seen some japanese fakes that were very good too. I will probably write another article soon on how to tell the different between a real and a fake. Before you could just tell by the second hand, but those are beginning to be come standard issue on the fake ones now as well. But there are a few tell tell signs that you don't have the genuine article. In the meantime I suggest you hit google and do all the research you can on telling the difference.
