Jesus Christ, The Anointing, The Church, Denominations
I can say that I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I can say that I am anointed by the Holy Spirit. I can say that I am a member of the Church. I can say that my Denominations doctrines are true. I can say all this, but can I prove what I say is the truth?
Jesus said in Luke 6:44 that every tree is known by the fruit it produces. If you say you follow Jesus Christ then the fruit you produce in your life will resemble that produced by Christ.
If you say that you are anointed by the Holy Spirit, the fruit produced will look identical to what the Spirit has produced in the lives of the anointed we read about in the Word of God.
It’s easy to say that you are anointed; it is a far different thing to show that you are anointed. The evidence of the anointing is not in the Words you speak but in the deeds you perform.
Many Churches in our day have been deceived by false teachers who claim that the anointing comes from the level of a mans knowledge of the Word of God. This belief is contrary to what the Word of God teaches.
The Word of God teaches that the anointing is given by God when he pours the oil of the Holy Spirit onto a man.
One man I know of can quote the Word of God from memory, yet he is an evil man who has been convicted of child rape.
Another man I know can also quote the Word of God like no other! He now denies that Jesus literally died. He also teaches that Jesus will return secretly and will appear to the Muslims as their Savior.
It is easy to say that you are a member of the true Church, but there are untold thousands of other Churches who make the same claim. It is therefore concluded that a claim to be the true Church is not enough evidence to prove your statement is true.
The true Church is connected to Jesus Christ, it is his body. Therefore the evidence that you are the true Church is the Christ-like fruit you bare through your connection to the Tree of Jesus.
You can call yourself a Christian, but do those around you who see your fruit say the same? Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
The disciples were called Christians by others because men beheld the same anointing in their lives which was present in the life of Christ. If you were put on trial and all the evidence was weighed, could you be convicted and judged as a Christian?
Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not; for it was founded upon a rock. Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
