Most people are creatures of habit. We do things the same way, day after day. It's fine, but what if something isn't working? Then it's time to make a change. If there is an area of your life where you're not getting what you want (or the results you desire) then it's time to make a change.

If we keep doing the same things, we'll get the same results. Start fresh by getting clear about what you want. What is your heart's desire? What do you want to accomplish (or obtain?) If there was nothing holding back from accomplishing your dreams, what would it be?

Here are five things you can do to get off "automatic pilot" and make a change in your life:

1) Get in touch with what you want. Clarity is power. The more clear you are about what you want, the more likely you are to make things happen. Also, knowing what you want enables you to recognize good opportunities and take action.

(2) Examine your current approach. Have you made any attempts to make things happen? If so, was it effective? Or do you need to make a change? Sometimes, small adjustments can result in big changes. Other times, you need to try something different. You may need to do a little research, read a book, or talk to an expert to get some fresh ideas.

2) Keep your eyes open for opportunities. What can you do to make progress towards your goal? What small steps can you take to get closer to what you want to accomplish? Sometimes you need to break away from what is safe and comfortable. Do your best, without worrying about the outcome. Try it a number of times. You will get stronger and better if you do.

3) Seek practical solutions. If you have been afraid of swimming or lack the skill to play tennis, take lessons. Ask yourself what you have to do to achieve your goal and do it. 4) Set goals and practical objectives. Once you've determined what you want to accomplish, start asking yourself, "how can I make things happen?" It's ok, if you don't know. Don't be afraid to ask and look around for answers. Set some goals for your life. As you begin to discover ways to make things happen, make an action plan and follow through with your objective to improve your life.

I wish you the best life possible. Think and act with all the strength you can generate. May you find new and exciting rewards with your newfound information, insights and tools for change.
