10 Steps to Creating a Successful Online Business

1. Find a product to promote online. Start out by looking in an internet search and finding out what people are buying these days. It should also be something that you can be passionate about. So start out by going to Google, clickbank, and imc.wordtracker.com to see what the hottest products on the market are.

2. Write your sales page. It should be something to grab your buyers attention and spark an interest. then lead them into making a decision and taking the action to buy your product.

3. Build your website. It doesn't have to be perfect. But it should be easy to navigate and have an automated customer service for payment and concerns your customers might have.

4. Get traffic. You can set up a pay per click campaign or search the web for other forms of advertisement. Some of it is even free.

5. Get more traffic. Write articles, blogs, press releases. Be sure to link them all together. Remember that marketing is all about getting exposure for your site. The more content you create for the internet the higher your pages will rank with the search engines.

6. Email marketing. Start a campaign using email. Create an optin list and get an autoresponder attached to it with at least 30 emails in it. The average customer wont buy until they have been exposed to your product at least seven times.

7. Create or find other products to market. Most people tend to buy over and over from someone they trust. So once you have established a relationship with you customers they will tend to buy from you again.

8. Get others to market your product or services. In other words get others to join your business. Establish some sort of commission or bonuses to get others to market your products for you.

9. Grow your business. Create other streams of income by teaching others to do what you do. offer an online course or even a packaged cd. There are many companies available on line to help you create your product and even distribute for a nominal fee.

10. Use the latest technology to get people talking about your business. Get people to visit your site over and over by using the latest tools available and get more sales. Add testimonies of some real people. Get them to offer advice on what they did to generate sales in their businesses.

When all is said and done internet marketing can be fun and challenging. But the rewards you gain will be worth all your time and efforts.
