Have you ever imagined how the world looked like without colors? White plants? White butterflies? White mountains? White seas? White people? If all creatures lacked colors, I would just close my eyes and wish that I were blind.

I would ask the same question with your house. Do you want a white color for your exterior painting ma? A white finish for interior house painting ma? If your house is painted with pure all white, your home will look as dull as cemetery and will appear in a very traditionalist style.

I’m not against white paints since it has been used for many, many years and has been the theme of most traditional houses. My point is that colors (other than white) beautify the home and add effect or drama to any houses and buildings. There are various colors from swatches to gradients, but most of us doesn’t know how to make use of them particularly in house painting in Boston.

Each color emphasize mood and personality. Each has impact on the room’s appearance—it can make the room appear narrower or larger. It has psychology behind it. Colors can give certain impulses and responses. If properly applied to any home, buildings and establishments, any structure will look awesome and sensual. However, choosing the appropriate color for ones house is really hard to deal with.

I have asked some of the painting contractors in our area, and here are the guides on which color is appropriate to your home. Enjoy reading and choose what suits you best!

Red

Red is a powerful color said to produce feelings of intimacy, passion, sexuality, and appetite. This color is ideal for dining rooms. Look at the Chinese restaurants for example, they use red because it is believed to increase appetite.

Orange

The mood of orange is friendly. It suits well with living rooms and children’s bedrooms.

Yellow

Yellow is attention grabber. It illuminates poorly lighted areas like hallways. Elderly people acknowledge yellow to lighten their mood. However, avoid strong yellow combinations for it causes anxiety to infants and elderly.

Blue

Blue is great for bedrooms because it can send you to sleep so easily.

Green

This color gives a soothing feeling of nature. It works well in bathrooms and living rooms. Also, its calming effect is suitable for hospitals, schools and work environments.

Violet

This is the most challenging color to mix and match. Children’s bedrooms and play areas could be experimented using this color.

If you have already chosen the color that fits your home, you have your choice to paint your own home or hire a house painting contractors ma. BUT, keep in mind that when doing a DIY or do-it-yourself painting, chances are you may cause a great disaster to your home. Without sufficient knowledge and technique in house painting, a wonderful painting job could turn to a great misery you will surely regret in the end!!!

If you don’t want to commit a glaring mistakes in painting your house; you’d better hire a painting contractor in Boston. You have had spent million of bucks for the construction of your house, so why leave it pale and unattractive?
