Then, there was "I Could Care Less." She was something else! God forbid that you talk to her, ask a question or interrupt her day which was constantly filled with loud and argumentative boyfriend discussions. She tried (and failed miserably) to perform even the basic Billing and Accounts Receivable functions. "I Could Care Less" was really a funny creature…when things became too stressful (an understatement), she simply told "Vanity" that she was leaving for the day (regardless of the time.) When "I Could Care Less" left for the day, "Insanity", decided, I would be the new Billing Clerk to research and resolve problems that I was unqualified to do. I was hired as a Program Financial Analyst! Needless to say, "Insanity" was never pleased with the job performance of "I Could Care Less" but will never take action against her. "Insanity" just wants little stupid puppet people to work for him without questioning his actions or motives.

Last, but not least was "Please Don't Ask Me." She used to work in Accounts Payable but was transferred to work with "I Could Care Less" when she claimed she was overworked. Unfortunately, "I Could Care Less" had no training ability or technical knowledge to impart on "Please Don't Ask Me." "Please Don't Ask Me" was totally afraid of "Insanity" and took every opportunity to shirk her responsibility and work to resolve problems with "Insanity."

So, what's the bottom line…Although I was laid off, it really was a blessing in disguise.

I no longer have to wake up every morning to think about "Madness," then rush off to work to try to please "Insanity", the ultimate robot. "Vanity" has no place in life and will one day be replaced. "I Could Care Less" will eventually get overwhelmed by her own inaction and "Please Don't Ask Me" will return to finish her Accounting Degree so she can learn to fill the shoes of "Vanity."

We all have these characters in our work life everyday! Enjoy the humor of this article and put a smile of your face everyday! Love and serve God to the best of your ability and everything else will sort itself out!
