The first thing to do and probably the most difficult is to try and set a schedule. If you decided to work at home because you didn't like waking up early and working long hours without decent breaks, you should still try to get a working schedule. It is probably true that you opted for a career where you can be flexible, like a data entry job, but do not amplify the meaning of the word flexible. Flexible schedule usually refers to the fact that you can work when you want and take break when you want without having to work the same time periods every day. It most certainly does not refer to working just an hour a day or not working at all. Remember that even if it is a work at home position that can make you great income and let you save more money in your account, you still have to put some time and effort into it.

So it is okay to work a few hours and then take a longer break and then to go back to work, but you should also be careful not to fall into the other extreme and work without taking breaks at all. So do take breaks from your work at least to stand up from the computer, stretch your arms and give your eyes a break if nothing else. Remember that this is a type of job that lets you work full time today and part time tomorrow, but if you start doing it make sure you do it in a place where you are not tempted to interrupt from your work every five minutes. If possible set an office in a corner of a room and stay away from the phone, television or kitchen. Set yourself working time frames and try to respect them. The truth is that there is much more to a work at home position than it is often believe and one of the things you should have for being successful is self discipline. Being your own boss and all that might not be working for everybody and having a data entry job that you can do from home should be still regarded as a serious job and a way to make a living. Thus you have to learn not too be too harsh or too soft on yourself just focus on working for a set time period and using a buzzer to signal that time may serve you well.
