With the interconnection of many aspects of life, you may find that improvements that you are making in one area then translate into better performance in another area as well. In that case, why take a holistic vision of your life, in total, to extend the benefits all over? If you take the time to honestly assess your own qualities, your goals and where you want to be, you’ll see opportunities for reusing skills and aptitudes in ways that you may not have been aware of. For across the board personal improvement, apply the following list of points to yourself and your life. For any points where you cannot yet answer with a clear affirmative, underline the titles so that you can set aside time to work on them.

1. Making a key purchase – buying "yourself" This is an important test. If you don’t buy "yourself", can you realistically expect anyone else to? Check out the "you" product. Do you have particular strengths or weaknesses? Are you marketed, advertised and packaged correctly? Put things right and undergo some self-esteem improvement if you need to, because a good "you" product will facilitate opportunities and life improvements thereafter.

2. Make a record of your goals Choose the format that suits you best and that you can access easily. You might prefer to write them down on paper. But you could also store them in a file on your PC or even make a video clip with your webcam of you describing your goals, clearly and confidently. You may want to make a business goal list as well as a life goal list. Compare your goals and the progress that you make towards them with success role models that you have selected. Use this to keep on track and to find your way again if ever you lose sight of that new and improved life.

3. Develop a mission statement that embraces greatness With the "you" product and your documented goals, you can also develop a vision and a mission statement for you personally. The advantage is that these items are eminently portable. You can take them with you wherever you go. Make sure that your vision or your mission statement includes greatness, a necessary component of life improvement. Learn to feel comfortable with the notion of greatness, as it implicitly relates back to positive and significant self improvement, which is what you want.

4. Use the law of attraction – the right way The law of attraction can be used in two ways – a right way and a wrong way. The wrong way involves a blind, unquestioning and unreasoning faith that something that you desire will come about. Get real. Nothing will happen if you don’t get off your butt and make it happen. You can sit there for as long as you like, radiating waves of desire, but you won’t make any progress. On the other hand, using the law of attraction to firmly fix your goals and desires in your mind, and then have these translate in to positive actions that you do, is good.

5. Manage priority relationships correctly Identify the relationships that are key for you and manage them with honesty and integrity, giving them the attention and the time that they deserve. These relationships are likely to exist both at home and at work. For your family, involve them in your projects for a better life across the board and make sure that your family too has organized its goals, with compatibility between your personal and your family objectives. Finally, remember to maintain a healthy relationship with money. It may not be the final goal, but understanding it, appreciating its catalytic powers and knowing how to make it are all key elements as well.
