Yes, there are some Bad Bosses. And in order to get our jobs done and survive our jobs as women we have to learn how to handle the Bad Boss. So read on to get the survival techniques. You will survive and maybe you will even start your own business and become your own boss!

TIP #1: Surviving the impatient boss. You have to be patient. Do not allow the bosses pushiness and aggressiveness to determine how you will do your job. With this kind of boss you have to develop the skills to be organized and to have good time management. As long as you are proceeding along making deadlines and doing a good job, there is not much the boss can say or do to you. Calm and patience are your best person defense to meet the challenges of this kind of boss.

TIP #2: Surviving the boss who is chronically late. Most of the time this boss is late due to being disorganized and having poor time management skills; however, they rarely ever realize they are disorganized and have poor time management skills. They usually feel that because they are rushed most of the time it is because they have too much work or they are doing most of the work. They often feel if they didn’t do most of the work on the job they would have more time; however, this generally is not true. So you survive them by being there on time and just waiting. Bring your paper work with you. A woman can usually get a lot done while waiting for a chronically late boss. Use this to your advantage. Oh do not tell the boss you are sick and tired of waiting for them or covering for them. Just be patient with them.

TIP # 3: Survival of a hot tempered boss. Yes, it is true bosses should not be hot tempered on the job or lose their temper. This is most unprofessional, but it happens. You survive them by not getting hot tempered back. Reminding them that you are a person who will not tolerate their actions (but you have to be willing to go straight to human resources to report their actions and inappropriateness if it happens again. A warning to the boss might be appropriate). Or just walk away when they try the hot temper tantrums on you. Generally speaking the hot tempered boss knows they are wrong. Give them enough time and they generally apologized and especially if the boss is a woman. If they do not apologize, you will have to take a stand to tell them you will go to human resources to report their actions. Generally this calms them down for a season or forever.

SUMMARY

Ok so there you have it. You can survive the boss especially if you want your job and you view your life purpose as bigger than having a boss who might need your help.
