Cozumel is one of the most popular vacation destinations in Mexico. The largest Atlantic island of the coast of Mexico and situated just off the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, south east of Cancun.

This annual event began over 150 years ago with music, a rodeo, bull fights, feasts, and other activities. Thefestival lasts around five days and is a must see if you are in the area.
However there are plenty of other things to do in Cozumel. Eco tourism is a growing market within the tourism industry and Cozumel is also renowned for its biodiversity. You can find quite a number of endemic species to this island, a couple of there are many species endemic to this region of Mexico - some of which are near extinction and many of which are endangered, this attracts many visitors to wonder at the passing beauty of these species. It is both awe inspiring and terribly sad to watch some of the endangered species that live only on this island before they become totally extinct.
