To start an MLM business requires a lot more than just enthusiasm and a desire to make money. When you begin to build a MLM business, you have chosen to agree to some company's contract. A lot of people don't realize that, but it is true 100% of the time. You may not have signed on the dotted line, but you checked a box saying you read and agree to the Policies & Procedures. That step must be done in order to begin marketing any MLM product.
So what I would ask you is ... did you actually read the Policies and Procedures? (Most people don't.) The P&P is the legal contract between you and the network marketing company. Do you have any real idea what you have agreed to? You might be surprised. Heck, you might be absolutely shocked.
It's fairly standard for a company to insert one or more clauses making it clear that you - the rep - may be terminated at any time for any reason with 30 days' notice. And it is done by companies on a regular basis. They wait until you have built an income, and then they terminate you. Who do you think gets your stream of income?
Remember, this contract was written by company lawyers. Chances are, the company won't terminate you to steal your check unless they get themselves in financial trouble. But it happens. If your plan is to build a future for yourself and your family and your team, then you definitely want a contract that can't kick the legs out from under you.
To have a successful, serious, stable network marketing income, have your people go on autoship. Autoship means they get their product every month, charged to their credit card. Autoship means that you have customers you can count on ordering each month, which means you start each month with a certain income base, and it increases from there.
If you explain the autoship to your customers, they will sign up for it, because they are also serious about building an income they can depend on. You can tell them that there are good reasons for autoship. These reasons will vary from program to program, but here are 4 possibilities.
Your autoship products make perfect prospect samples. That means that your autoship expense is 100% tax deductible, because it is a business expense. Of course, keep records when you give away those samples. Second, the company gives a free product each month to anyone with a certain amount of autoship. Often, being on autoship qualifies you for a car bonus. Also, some companies offer a special bulk purchase for those on autoship, so you get X amount of free product in that Super Pack. Use that bonus yourself, or use it again as samples with your prospects.
Every company has good reasons for going on autoship. Learn your comp plan so you understand your company's autoship reasons, and share them with your prospects.
You can find these ideas, plus a lot more, in "Success in 10 Steps", a free download describing the pitfalls of MLM and how to be successful anyway.
The 10-step system in the book shows how to build a strong team through long-term relationships. The book itself is free, and it is also part of a very inexpensive lead-generation system offered by the author, Michael Dlouhy.
It's effective, because so many people have a strong belief in the benefits of MLM, but they've just never had the real-life success that they want. Dlouhy shows exactly why that is, and exactly what you need to do to achieve long-term success. Then you can immediately use the book yourself to build your MLM business, which is a real bonus.
