Web hosting is a fiercely competitive business and it isn’t any wonder that web hosting services are constantly reviewing the uniqueness or blandness of there services. Your web hosting is critical to your online business as it determines the health or otherwise of your web site and by extension your business. As a new entrant to the internet marketing business I was inundated with the noise of recommendations and sales pitches of web hosts. In retrospect, a new entrant to internet marketing who longs to hit the ground running and initiate the process of financial emancipation through the internet very easily falls for the highly targeted sales pitches out there.

Something I give back to the sales merchants out there is that ability to stun you with what I call precision sales pitches. This will easily pass for what happens when a SWAT team throws a stun grenade into a room where you are. The lights and the loud bang would or is expected to leave you disoriented long enough for the SWAT team to carry out there operation! I chuckle as I write this because of the hopeless situation that puts an inexperienced (green horn) internet marketer. All you hear are the apparently good points of the web hosting services on sale and that blurs whatever critical or need analysis you should carry out before committing yourself.

This write up is remotely directed at those who might be at that stage at the moment. You have armed yourself with what the experts have to say; ‘99% of online businesses fail’…….’you cannot make money online without a website’, amongst a host of other things they say. You have made a decision on one of the broad money making areas in internet marketing that include

  1. A Merchant selling products

  2. An Affiliate Earning Commissions and

  3. through Adsense and Content Sites amongst others.

You want a website and you need web hosting. Also in retrospect, it is interesting to know that, at this stage, there is hadly any thought about all the technicalities that go into creating a website even after you hold down a domain name and a web hosting service that claims to have all the tools you will need to set up a website. In my case I did not even have a clue that I needed some kind of optimization to get my website visible! What is optimization was the question I was asking after holding down a domain name and web hosting. It takes more that a domain name, an affiliate product and the like.

I dare say it is a jungle out there (I love the jungle though!). Some call it information overload! At this stage for many of you, discouragement sets in and the empty hype of all the sales pitches come home to roast! Advice? Always tell your self and know that there is something more before you purchase any web hosting service. You have to search and that involves comparisons and what your needs are.. You should put them up to rigorous and continuous assessments. The best web hosting for me is an all inclusive platform where i get ongoing help with brainstorming, optimization and general improvement.
