The Poodle is known throughout as a somewhat aristocratic dog. They come in three sizes; toy, miniature and standard. They are proud and elegant dogs. They are one of the easiest to train breeds and love to learn. The standard poodle tends to do better with children than the smaller sizes. They dislike being alone and may show you in some destructive ways. They need to be trimmed and groomed regularly, but this is because they do not shed their hair like other dogs.
Shih Tzu’s are regal little dogs. Originating in Tibet they were kept in Temples as sacred dogs. They were sometimes gifted to the Chinese Emperors of the Manchu Dynasty. The Shih Tzu’s are powerhouses of personality. They love their people and are good with children. They are not demanding and will wait patiently until called. Of course, they would rather be sitting with you though. They make excellent apartment dogs.
The Bulldog has a charm unto himself. Though not a classic beauty they do possess it. They were named "bull" because of their use in bull baiting. An excellent choice as a family dog they are exceptional with children. They are gentle and protective and form strong bonds with their kids. They can be "bull"headed at times but are really big babies. They tend to snore and drool quite a lot. They require minimal grooming.
For every dog of every breed there are those people who seek the individuality of each dog for that special something that will inevitably touch their heart.
