If you are a fan of Mad TV, you will want to get your hands on Artie Lange tickets as soon as possible. Lange has worn a lot of hats over the years in movies, TV, radio and standup. He is known for both his talent and his size and is often compared to the late Chris Farley.

Lange was born in New Jersey in 1967, where he was a successful baseball player during his high school years. He planned to attend college after graduation, but his father fell from a roof and became a quadriplegic. He took many different jobs to make money like a cab driver and laborer. His father soon died, and Lange went to New York City to start his standup comedy career. He helped start the Live on Tape improv group which eventually led to a spot on the original cast of Mad TV. Success didn’t sit well with Lange, however, and drug problems led to his firing. You can still see the remnants of his Mad TV days with Artie Lange tickets from www.StubHub.com.

From there, Norm MacDonald gave him a break and cast him in his movie Dirty Work and also had him on his TV show The Norm Show. He followed it with a slew of TV and movie appearances like The Bachelor, Mystery Men, Mail Order Bride, Lost & Found, Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the Thirteenth and Old School.

In 2001, he was invited to become a regular on The Howard Stern Show. He was an instant fan favorite, and Stern has put him through interesting situations like having his DNA tested to find out his ethnicity (this is when he discovered his is part Native American). He left the show briefly in early 2008 after an on-air scuffle with his assistant, but he has since returned. Along with Stern, Lange is also a regular on other shows like The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night With Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Vest Damn Sports Show, Period and had guest spots on shows like HBO’s Entourage.

Lange has branched out into writing a producing with his short film Gameday. Artie Lange’s standup routines take all of the comedy experience he has and combine it with a self-deprecating humor that has the audience laughing at his shortcomings.
