Does the Holy Grail of spot treatments actually exist? This is on the mind on all those that are suffering from spots, as a real remedy would allow millions of people to have a complexion that is clear and healthy and free from any blemishes.
There are many ways that spots can be treated and there is no need to spend a great deal of money on various treatments or to resort to drastic measures. You are probably aware that spots are a result of pores of the skin becoming clogged by dead skin cells and it is often said that a poor level of hygiene is to blame for this happening, which of course is just not true.
And the reason that this is not true is because there are many people that do have a high level of personal hygiene and use the best skin care products available yet they are still suffering from spots. It is not just the face that is subject to spots but others areas of the body also especially the back and shoulders.
It is not just a case of the pores being clogged that is a result of spots appearing but also other factor many hormonal factors that can cause the appearance of spots and it does not matter whether you are male or female. It is also quite possible that you have inherited your skin condition, because if one or both your parents had a lot of spots then it is quite likely that you too will also develop a series of spots.
Many people try to hide their spots by applying make up to the affected areas but this can make the matter worse especially if the products are oil based and also make up causes the skin not to breathe and can even cause more spots to develop.
Many home remedies can be used to treat spots and one of the best anti bacterial treatments that is readily available and that does work is lemon juice. This is probably the Holy Grail of all spot treatments as it is totally natural, there are no side effects to using it, and the juice is packed with Vitamin C which will help to promote healing and reduce any swelling that is on the face.
As well as using lemon you may want to apply a cold ice pack to your spots, especially if they are very large and sore to touch, this will help to reduce the swelling even further and is suitable to be used in conjunction with the lemon juice which will also help to destroy any bacteria that exists.
There is no need to go far to find effective spot treatments and you do not need to simply rely on products that are readily available in the shops in order to treat your spots. You may also want to try using toothpaste but be careful of the choice of toothpaste as these can sometimes also be too strong.
Witch Hazel is another good natural treatment and it is like alcohol but not damaging to the skin.
