So what do we do, we search for people out there to subscribe to our list. We do whatever we can to start to build a list. Even ask friends and family for their email address. After a few weeks we may have a hundred names if we're lucky. But then the moment of truth arises.

Although giving away free but valuable content is important for your list, you should save that for the newsletter that goes out to your subscribers, after they sign up from buying something from you.
