If you are going to advertise your product, you need to be agile. You must be able to sell-out for your program. If you sell it you better believe in it. So when setting up an ad campaign it is a must to mix up your strategy and resources. Think of it like building a house, you could do without insulation, but it would make no sense to leave it out after knowing its value.
The idea behind mix marketing is to maximize your efforts and create the illusion that you are everywhere.
Now there are plenty of good marketing campaigns , many of the most effective ones are free. What we want to do is figure out how to utilize them effectively. Basically direct the traffic to set points of interest, preparing and providing info along the way.
Certain marketing ideas like, blogs, can be used to educate potential prospects about your area of expertise. That would be a great way to prepare them for your email campaign, that way you wont be starting at square one.Its very important that they be ready when you send them emails, if not they might be apt to "unsubscribe". And then, POOF, all that work down the drain.
Heres one way it might work: You write some articles, (ones that describe a certain area of your product or program). The articles get picked up by ezines/publishers. If you write a helpful article they will value your opinion, thus setting them up for the future email campaign. Thats when you could send them to your landing page. There you can provide a little more information. And possibly provide a a sample of your final product. Placing things like that will create more interest and trust in you. You are now presenting yourself as a quality information provider and prepping them for your email campaign.
At the same time you have a ppc campaign going(it can be cheap, like $5.00 a day) where you are offering some different types of freebies and bonuses. The ppc might be a direct opt-in opportunity, since they were obviously searching for what you are offering anyways. Being aware of the situation where your product is being offered will tell you how interested the prospect is, thus how much they already know about what you are offering.
Mixing is about spreading and directing. Create an image of experience, and direct traffic to the appropriate level of interest.
