Let's say you aren't targeting six packs but abs exercises mean a lot to get absolute flat abs for you. This means drop dead that you can still do fine without having to go to a health club or a fitness gym, nor would you need to buy expensive exercise equipments if all you are looking at is flat abs.

Exercise Your Way To Flat Abs

Start with a simple routine of five minutes every morning and evening before slowly increasing the duration and the type of exercise as you move on and begin to see results. You will be rewarded if you persist, remember the adage "nothing succeeds like success".

Start the exercises by contracting lower abs so as to curl your hips off the floor, all the while simultaneously trying to lift your legs up vertically towards the ceiling. Return leisurely to the start position. Now, contract abdominal muscles by trying to reach your torso toward knees. Remember to keep your chin away from chest during each repetition. Your next step is to contract your torsal muscles without flattening the back.

Crunch On An Exercise Ball

In this abdominal exercise, begin by sitting on the exercise ball with feet flat on the floor. Roll back the ball unhurriedly and lean backwards until your thighs and torso are in the same line and parallel to the ground. Now slowly get back to your original position and crunch up as much as possible bearing in mind that trying to reach the toes is unrealistic. Remember, crunches and other abdominal exercises are enormously beneficial in any abs exercises program, but as it goes, they don't need to be done every day.

In the next routine, hold the exercise ball in between your forelegs with the ball just off of the floor. Bring your knees bending towards your chest and as you crunch up with your torso as you would do normally.

Unlike the general abs exercises, the lower abdominal exercises are all actions connected to lower body or lifting legs towards torso. Secret to success with lower abdominal exercises lies in trying to experience the effort in your belly even as you are doing it. In other words you will instantly feel if your lower abdominal muscles are responding.

It is all about precisely figuring out what to do, how to do and finally what mistakes to avoid, no matter whether it is for general fitness or the abdominal exercises.
