A relatively new tradition at wedding parties is to give wedding favors to the guests as a thank you for coming. These small relatively inexpensive items may not have a great deal of monetary value, but they can have a great deal of sentimental value. Wedding favors can both add to the enjoyment of the wedding party and mean more to the guests than a card received weeks after the event has taken place. At least part of the wedding favors should be personalized wedding favors, but how many?

Wedding favors come in a huge variety of forms. Almost all are capable of being personalized. Personalized wedding favors will be more special to those who receive them than the wedding favors that are not personalized. There is, however, the extra expense of personalization to consider. Some people who are more affluent than the rest of us may consider having all of the wedding favors given to their guests be personalized wedding favors. Most of us can not afford to be quite that extravagant. It is, however, a good idea to be sure and have at least one item ordered as wedding favors be personalized.

For many of us, the number of wedding favors that can be bought is limited. Most weddings include at least four different items that would be considered wedding favors. If possible, it would be a good idea to have at least half the items personalized. These personalized wedding favors will be kept by those who receive them as a memento of the occasion. Personalized wedding favors will always act as a reminder of where they came from and what they symbolize. Wedding favors that are not personalized can have the same impact, but generally will not. They may be duplicated at another wedding a person attends or the person may just not always remember where he/she received every little gift.

It is also a good idea to use care when selecting wedding favors for personalization. Most items have the option of being made into personalized wedding favors, but some are not as good a choice as others. Items that will be useful on a regular basis, and therefore subject to a lot of handling, might not be such a good idea for personalization. That does not mean they are not appropriate for giving as wedding favors, just that it might not be worth the added expense of making these into personalized wedding gifts. Other items are only good for a single use. These items, such as coffees, teas, and cocoas, are probably not the best choices to give as personalized wedding favors because once the product is used, nobody keeps the package.

Wedding favors are a normal part of any wedding party today. Most of us would prefer to give and receive at least some personalized wedding favors. How many items to have personalized is a decision that each individual must make on their own based on their financial circumstances and personal tastes.
