Are you troubled about down-sizing, lay-offs, and your retirement? Or maybe you're already laid off or retired and you are finding that your funds are running out or becoming dangerously low. When hearing the news of businesses closing left and right and lay-offs all across the country, numerous people will desperately seek answers.

I expect job losses to grow during the first two quarters of the year as a result of our credit crisis. Many predict another 75,000 or more job losses over the next few years.

This is an excellent place to start.

I actually believe that everything happens for a reason. And you are probably reviewing this article because you are prepared for a change. If a business has to lay-off workers it can do so without much advance notice. CitiGroup just laid-off over 20% of their workforce, that's over 50,000 jobs lost!

This is our story of becoming prepared for our retirement. This information may help you to become self-employed, self-sufficient, and prepared for YOUR future. Keep reading!

No more worries. You are the boss. You choose when and where to work. You LOVE your job, so you ARE triumphant and profitable. This is not a Get Rich Quick Scheme, it does involve work and your computer. But it's enjoyable work because you're doing what you are experienced and passionate about.

Everyone knows something about something. My "thing" is the moving business. Go to our website to see what we've done. The internet is the information highway! That is where people go to find out: how-to, what is, when, or where. Give them your skill.

Some examples are:

*How-To Skills - like repair an auto, plan and plant a garden, budget and manage money, economical shopping

*Banking and Financial - be a money coach, teach debt reduction, teach budgeting

*If you're a factory worker - examine your hobbies, knowledge, and what you're passionate about

*Medical Skills - what to do until help arrives, 10 ways to stop bleeding, healthy diet, exercise. Maybe you've overcome a disease or some other medical situation - others with the same challenge are searching for relief or a cure for themselves. Recovery from surgery, amputation, disease (like cancer). What tests are available to check for diseases. Spices, herbs, supplements

*Construction Workers - you know how to: frame-up, finish, make a plan, etc. You know a LOT about building

*Homemakers - You are an especially talented group! Cooking and meal planning, life partner, chauffeur, expert cleaning specialist, organizer, child raising expert, elderly care giver, shopping expert and bargain finder, crafts, children's activities, thrifty, household budget maker, bill payer and coordinator, bookkeeper, teacher, volunteer, decorator, researcher, Doctor Mom (or Dad), laundry expert, and you can probably come up with many more!

These ideas should get your wheels turning!
